Nicole Cadet

Nicole is an freelance artist who specialises in fantasy, historical, fairy and mythical art. Her passion for the arts began with her early love affairs with books, dance, piano, choir and learning. Having spent the better part of a decade at university, she now has degrees in Education (Secondary Art & English) and Information Technology (Information Systems). The two years she spent at Art College (QCA) she did not particularly care for, and decided that she would never do anything more than paint for herself. Five years on from art college Nicole took a leap of faith and began her first website. Ignoring her college lecturers who had not deemed fantasy art to be a worthy artform she began to create art that she enjoyed and hoped others might find interesting as well. This website and the artwork contained within it are the result of that single decision to 'give it a go'. Working primarily in watercolours and digital mediums such as Painter and Photoshop, Nicole continues to explore a variety of medius and subject matter, even if the pretty clothes of Medieval maidens and Fey creatures keep calling her back!

She had painted a tooth fairy. Now, returning to her love of painting, her work has become increasingly respected and sought after. She has been published by Chrysalis Publishing in The Art of Faery, Watercolour Fairies, 500 Fairy Motifs and World of Faery, and her work found on licensed gifts and products throughout the world.

Margaret Dean

A passion for Celtic mythology and a fascination for historic portrait photography are what led Australian artist, Margaret Dean, to the fairy genre. The faerie photos are all created digitally. The faeries are photographed on location, and the wings are photographed separately and added in later. "The images I create all tend to have a timeless quality, and this is true of my faerie photos as well. I think this is a reflection of my fascination for old sepia portraits from the early days of photography. These images have such a haunting quality and it is something I try very hard to replicate in my faeries".

Amy Edwards

Amy grew up in Wollongong, Australia, surrounded by an ever increasing menagerie of unwanted or injured animals.
Her childhood was filled with animal friends and family holidays to various places around Australia, usually in the bush or by the sea. Or sometimes, on it.
She was constantly inspired by nature, and as a shy and introverted child, would spend a great deal of time drawing the wonderful worlds she immersed herself in. Encouraged by her family to continue drawing and expand her imagination, she continued to create the amazing fantasy images and worlds. Amy attempts to remain a somewhat varied artist with style and medium, though more and more often now her art is digital.

Her artwork has found its way to many places, including books and ccg type card games in various countries. Amy works on commissions and her own projects, and when inspiration strikes and time allows, her works on one of two children's books of her own.

Creating is, and has always been, a real need for Amy. In the same sense that eating and sleeping are needs...except eating and sleeping can be ignored for at least a little bit.

Wendy Kathleen

Wendy was born in Southern California on March of 1974. From her earliest memories, Wendy was drawn into the world of art, gathering her earliest inspiration from her mother's drawings. Wendy would watch her mother draw and then try her hand at it as her mother would patiently guide her. Today, Wendy juggles her time between painting, running her art business and teaching high school art. Along with all this, Wendy finds time to relax, ice skate and snowboard with her husband and soul mate. Wendy's favorite medium is watercolor, to which she adds her own personal, ethereal touch not seen in traditional watercolors. Wendy chooses to focus her paintings almost exclusively on the main figure, with the background serving as a flow of billowing colors, with which to move the viewers eye along the image.
